• Assessment of baseline knowledge of experts on diabetes and pregnancy

    In order to assess the initial level of knowledge on diabetes and pregnancy, an anonymous survey of 438 doctors who work with pregnant women was conducted: 274 obstetricians, 96 family physicians, 52 neonatologists and 16 anesthesiology and intensive care. The results showed that experts had a low level of knowledge on diabetes and pregnancy. It’s needed to develop clinical protocols (standards) for planning and management of pregnancy, childbirth in women with diabetes mellitus and training.

  • Medical and social characteristics of women with cervical pathological processes at their different life periods

    Thus, conducted research has let to provide medical and social characteristics of women of reproductive age with pathological processes of the cervix, which is represented by housewives (68.8%), repeated (37.3%) – and multiparous (39.6%), with low health index, frequent to abortion (48.8%), those who do not use barrier methods of contraception (83.1%) and those with Cancer history (10.1%). Particular at risk group for the development of pathological processes of the cervix, are sexually active adolescents, which typically have dishormonal disorders and early occurrence of inflammatory processes of the lower part of the genitals. The high frequency of hyperplastic processes in women of late reproductive age is a risk factor for precancerous cervical disease.     The author showed that, in line with current literature, pregnant women should not be advised to keep a diet. All women with a desire to become pregnant should be advised to use folic acid. Causes of maternal mortality often seen not from a position of obstetric errors, and in connection with the difficulties of diagnosis, intensive care, which largely depend on the allied professionals. At the same time eliminating the elimination of obstetric complications in the main role of an obstetrician-gynecologist is obvious. The prospect of further reduction in obstetric complications and maternal mortality is the use of new scientific advances. The introduction of national standards is the realistic way to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.     Generalized results of x-ray estimations of the condition of endoparodontal status supporting teeth in system of metalceramic designs in the article. Estimated quality of the filling root channel in the supporting teeth, residing under unremoved metalceramic design. It is noted that absence of the full-fledged access to root channel does not allow to conduct qualitative processing and guaranteed obturation of root channel, particularly in events their complex construction that is indicative of low level endodontic treatments when preparing teeth to prosthesis.
