EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MEASURES COUNTERACTION DRUG DEPENDENCE IN REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

Aim. Evaluation of the effectiveness of existing measures designed at preventing drug use, in particular women. Materials and methods. Analysis of the regulatory-legal materials of the Republic of Tajikistan in the area of counter-narcotics and antinarcotic propaganda.

Results. The paper presents the results of the analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of measures to counter of drug dependence, in particular women, carried out in the Republic of Tajikistan, uncovered definite of their achieve­ments and shortcomings. Authors have established that measures undertaken for monitoring, analysis and assessment of the situation, including the prevention spread of drug addiction and illegal drug trafficking in Tajikistan needs to be improved and updated on the basis of which it was necessary to scientifically sound examination of the situation, conducting social research among the population for determine the causes of drug addiction and taking concrete measures. The authors allocated the shortcomings in the implementation of the analyzed programs, such as insuffi­cient financing, not corresponding to the volume of necessary expenses, the weak material and technical basis of drug treatment facilities, the disparity of existing facilities (suitable premises, diagnostic equipment, laboratories, human resources) required standards, which dictates the need to increase provision and improvement activities in this direction.

Conclusion. Evaluating the effectiveness of measures against drug addiction, in particular women, carried out in the Republic of Tajikistan, has revealed definite of their achievements and shortcomings.

Of particular importance in addressing this issue is given the interested position of the State, which was expressed in the development and adoption at the level of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, national programs for the prevention of drug addiction and the fight against illegal drug trafficking, including the organization of specialized structures and their units in the regions.
