The study of the prevalence of ID and DGT in 2 districts of Khatlon region, the inhabitants at the age of 45 years and older revealed a high prevalence of ID (21,2%) and DGT(9,4%).The above studies substantiate the need to implement a standardized screening all over the Republic with the purpose of identifying ID in the early stages.
