Abstract

The article presents a review of literature on the impact of meteorological factors on public health. It has been established that changes in weather, environmental parameters, and climate directly impact not only economy and living conditions but also health status. In recent years, changes in climate and weather conditions have been considered as important environmental and biophysical factors that can have a significant impact on population health indicators. The study of these factors within the framework of public health and environmental epidemiology is gaining increasing importance, as they are associated with a higher risk of chronic diseases and the exacerbation of environmentally related health conditions. Sources describe the mechanisms of impact and pathophysiological consequences, including the rise in cardiovascular and allergic diseases, as well as an increase in premature mortality rates. Due to the high vulnerability of certain population groups, there is a need for further scientific research and the development of effective measures to mitigate the negative effects of environmental factors, including meteorological ones, on public health.
