The review describes the issues of influence reduce levels of sex hormones on the cardiovascular system and contribute to the development of climacteric hypertension and coronary heart disease in the perimenopausal period. Proved that the perimenopausal period is an additional risk factor for cardiovascular disease in women due to lower cardioprotective effects of estrogen. At the same time noted that the appearance of pronounced climacteric syndrome revealed deeper changes in the cardiovascular system , namely, left ventricular hypertrophy , metabolic changes , both on the carbohydrate and lipid metabolism by more malignant for hypertension and coronary artery disease.
