Abstract

The development of modern high-precision metalworking equipment, reducing the cost of using additive technologies in production, increasing the accuracy of models obtained as a result of MRI, as well as improving and widely using 3D modeling software packages provide a wide range of tools for the development and production of biomechanical structures. This makes it possible to provide prompt medical care to patients with oncological diseases of the maxillofacial region, even with extensive lesions of the bone tissue (more than 50%). At the same time, the result of the operation ensures high aesthetics and restoration of the functions of the lost fragments of the bone structure. Such a result is possible only with a personalized design of individual jaw implants that repeat the shape of the lost bone sections that equivalent to them in strength (or exceed bone strength), the design process of which is presented in this paper.
